Strong Hire captures best of Bollywood at the O2

Our first excursion to the fabulous O2 Arena saw us teaming up with the Arqiva HD Outside Broadcast team to record a sold out show featuring the biggest stars of Bollywood - "The Unforgettable Tour". Big names such as Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shilpa Shetty performed in a mammoth 4 hour extravaganza of dance and songs taken from their most famous films.

Strong Hire was in charge of providing a multitrack recording of the event, and integrated 2 Pro Tools HD recorders into Arqiva's HD broadcast truck. Each system was equipped with SSL MADI - HD2 interfaces, providing a compact and reliable interface with Arqiva's Calrec digital broadcast console.

With the time code locked recording captured safely, production company Wizcraft headed back to India the very next day for the mix in Mumbai. And we stayed in England to endure the British summer. Ah well.
